About Us
Welcome to CJH Brick Restoration, we are Heritage Brick Restoration and Conservation Specialists based in Teddington, Greater London. We specialise in Grade I and II buildings, as well as period residential properties.
Established at the turn of the century, CJH Brick Restoration is a family run business specialising in heritage brick restoration and conservation including all types of traditional lime pointing, such as Georgian penny pointing and tuck pointing, a technique popularised in Victorian England.
Utlilising centuries-old traditional techniques, alongside a detailed knowledge of and love for historic buildings, materials and practices, we aim to deliver creative and bespoke solutions, merging client vision with an understanding of the processes integral to the restoration and maintenance of their property.
As well as a variety of period residential properties, we've worked on a number of significant Grade I and Grade II listed historic buildings including St. Pancras Chambers, Virginia Woolf's Hogarth House in Richmond and Bushy House in Teddington, for which we won the BUILD Magazine 'Best Historical Building Restoration Specialists 2020' award.
In addition to traditional lime pointing, our services include specialist brick and stone cleaning*, rebuilding and the repair, replacement and colour matching of original brickwork. If necessary, we partner with our own trusted and skilled stone restoration and painting and decorating technicians.
With our keen focus on the preservation of traditional technologies, skills and materials, we are part of a renaissance of artisanal practices sympathetic to the architectural structure of old buildings in harmony with the natural environment, whilst conserving the past for future generations to live in and learn from.

Stoneheath systems, for sensitive stonework restoration and conservation, are the only cleaning systems authorised by English Heritage. The 'Doff' and 'Torc' machines deliver a gentle yet effective environmentally-friendly solution for removing carbon sulphation, limescale, cementitious and lime-based paints.
